Privacy Notice

1. The controller of your personal data is the Polish Society of Experimental Plant Biology of Poznań (“PSEPB,” “Society” or “we”), with address at Noskowskiego 12, 61-704 Poznań (president@ptber.org.pl, ptber.org.pl).
2. We have designated a person who will be responsible for data processing. You can contact that person by email at admin@ptber.org.pl.
3. PSEPB members and applicants for PSEPB membership will have their personal data processed for the following purposes:
   1. For the latter to join PSEPB or for PSEPB to carry out its tasks as laid down in its articles, whether in accordance with the Associations Law Act of April 7, 1989 or in order for PSEPB to pursue its legitimate interests involving the right to process personal data to such extent as may be necessary for it to establish whether applicants for membership satisfy the requirements laid down in PSEPB Articles, and to admit them as members of the Society; for PSEPB to carry out its objects as laid down in its Articles; and for statistical purposes [Article 6(1)(c) & Article 6(1)(f) GDPR];
   2. To record economic events for tax or accounting purposes [Article 6(1)(c) GDPR];
   3. To provide information: PSEPB members will have their likeness (if they consented to it being disclosed) and other particulars published for the purposes laid down in PSEPB Articles and made available on PSEPB’s website at ptber.org.pl for the Society to provide information about its members, promote its image and activities, whether in pursuance of its legitimate interests [Article 6(1)(f) GDPR] or based on consent [Article 6(1)(a) GDPR].
4. The recipients of your personal data will include PSEPB members involved in furthering the Society’s objects, providers of IT or tax and compliance services that have been contracted for data processing, and other legally authorized entities.
5. Your personal data will be stored for as long as is necessary for the Society to further its objects. Should any of your data be necessary to record economic events for accounting purposes, they will be stored until such time as legal claims can no longer be brought or defended, and then for any such period as may be laid down by applicable laws.
6. You have the right to access your data. As provided by law, you also have the right:
   1. To withdraw your consent, always provided that this will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before its withdrawal;
   2. To have your data rectified;
   3. To have your data erased;
   4. To have the processing of your data limited;
   5. To object to processing.
7. If you think that our processing of your personal data infringes relevant mandatory laws, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Poland, this will be the President of the Personal Data Protection Office [Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych].
8. Providing personal data is voluntary. However, failing to do so means you might be unable to obtain membership of our Society.
9. Your personal data will not be used for automated decision-making or profiling, as referred to in Article 22 GDPR.
