Thematic symposia

Organized by Prof. Renata Bogatek-Leszczyńska and Dr. Agnieszka Gniazdowska, took place at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences -SGGW in Warsaw. The conference was sponsored by Panalytica and Genore Chromatografia.

The symposium "Biology of trees in the shade of blooming rhododendrons", organized by Prof. Gabriela Lorenc-Plucińska, took place in the Institute of Dendrology, Polish Academy of Sciences.

The one-day session entitled "The new model plants in experimental studies", was organized by Prof. Beata Zagórska-Marek and Prof. Jan Rybczyński.

Cytobiology Committee PAS, Department of General Genetics, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, University of Łódź, together with the Division of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Łódź organized a scientific conference entitled: "Challenges of modern cell biology: molecular genetics, biology of systems, bioinformatics." The conference was organized to honor the Jubilee of the 80th anniversary of Professor Maria Olszewska.

The organizer of a mini-conference was a Prof. Beata Zagórska-Marek.

The thematic symposium of PSEPB "Sweet news of the last decade - the transport, metabolism and regulating role of sugars" took place on 14 April 2007, in Białystok. Symposium was organized by Dr. Iwona Ciereszko, head of the Department of Plant Physiology in the Institute of Biology, University of Białystok. The session, which was held in the new auditorium of the University Library named by Jerzy Giedroyć, was attended by about 40 participants.

Professor Jolanta Małuszyńska was the organizer of a mini-conference.
