FESPB Award Announcement

Young scientists will be awarded during the Congress in Freiburg. Detailed information on the FESPB Awards and forms to apply for an official nomination are available in the attached document.

FESPB Travel Grants for graduate students

FESPB (Federation of European Societies of Plant Biologists) awards the travel grants for participation in the Plant Biology Congress in Freiburg. FESPB members only, who have paid their membership fees, may apply for a grant. Alternatively, the supervisor of an applying student may be the FESPB member.

Submissions should be sent to January 25, 2012, to Prof. Anna Rychter ( arychter@biol.uw.edu.pl).

Lecture by Prof. Joanna Kargul: "Lessons from Nature: can we effectively imitate the mechanism of photosynthetic water splitting?"

The lecture will be held on 29 January at 12 noon, at the building of the Faculty of Agriculture and Biology, Warsaw University of Life Sciences (ground floor of the building No. 37), Nowoursynowska 159, Warsaw.

Awards for the best publications in the field of experimental plant biology, published in 2007-2008

Only publications, of which the first author and author for correspondence work in Polish laboratories and the percentage of non-Polish co-authors is less than 50% are taken under consideration.

4th Conference of the PSEPB, has been honored as the "Independent Meeting" supported by the Biochemical Society

We are glad to announce you that the application submitted by the PSEBP to the Biochemical Society has been positively considered. Therefore, the 4th Conference of the PSEPB, which will be held on 21-25 September 2009 in Krakow, has been honored as the "Independent Meeting" supported by the Biochemical Society.
